Catrin Menai is a multidisciplinary artist and writer from Bethesda, north Wales. She is currently undertaking a collaborative PhD between the Aberystwyth School of Art and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, focusing on the choreography of meadow restoration, past & present

Rwy'n archwilio afonydd fel systemau byw wedi'u llunio gan animistiaeth a Damcaniaeth Gaia. Yn 2019, dechreuais Brosiect Afon, gan ddilyn Afon Ogwen o'i ffynhonnell i'r môr, gan olrhain ei bywyd bregus a'r bioamrywiaeth y mae'n ei chynnal. Mae gofal, ailddefnyddio, a chyfrifoldeb deunydd yn arwain fy ymarfer. My practice responds to environmental change, biodiversity loss, and human impact on fragile ecosystems through sculpture, installation, photography, film and sound. I explore rivers as living systems shaped by animism and the Gaia Hypothesis. In 2019 I began Prosiect Afon, following the Afon Ogwen from source to sea, tracing its fragile life and the biodiversity it supports. Care, reuse, and material responsibility guide my practice.

Tristan makes soundworks based on the psychogeographic charge from the isle of Anglesey. They work towards a ritualistic, degraded aesthetic informed by the elements and ancient prehistoric sites in the environs.
