Mae Hedydd Ioan ac Izak Zjalič yn ddeuawd artistig sy'n gweithio o fewn cerddoriaeth, ffilm a pherfformio, gyda diddordeb yn y croesdoriadau o fewn y cyfryngau yma. Yn eu gwaith maen nhw'n archwilio hunaniaeth, diwylliant Cymraeg a'r profiad o fod yn oedolion ifanc mewn ardaloedd gwledig Cymreig. Maen nhw'n creu darnau sy'n adlewyrchu eu profiad o dyfu fyny mewn oes ddigidol, ac yn eu cyflwyno mewn cyd-destun perfformio gan gyfuno'r elfennau sain, gweledol a byw. Mae'r ddau wedi cydweithio ar nifer o brosiectau cerddorol megis skylrk., Sachasom, SACHASKY & Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn. Maent wedi cymryd rhan mewn digwyddiadau mewn orielau celf megis Shift yng Nghaerdydd ac orielau Mission ac Elyisum yn Abertawe. Mae eu hymarfer wrth gydweithio yn ffocysu ar greu darnau sy'n rhannu eu hatgofion a phrofiadau emosiynol drwy adeiladu bydoedd sonig a gweledol newydd. Yn ddiweddar fe dderbyniodd Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn enwebiad ar gyfer Albwm Gymraeg y Flwyddyn, ac mae'r ddau yn brysur yn teithio efo'r band ar draws Prydain. Mae Hedydd yn arddangos gosodiad newydd ym Mhlas Glyn-y-Weddw yn gweithio tuag at arddangosfa grŵp yn Nhŷ Pawb, Wrecsam i 2027.
Hedydd Ioan and Izak Zjalič are an artistic duo who work within music, film and performance, with an interest in the intersections within these media. In their work they explore identity, Welsh culture and the experience of being young adults in rural Welsh areas. They create pieces that reflect on their experience of growing up in a digital age, and present them in a performance context combining the sound, visual and live elements. The two have collaborated on a number of musical projects such as skylrk., Sachasom, SACHASKY & Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn. They have taken part in events in art galleries such as Shift in Cardiff and the Mission and Elyisum galleries in Swansea. Their collaborative practice focuses on creating pieces that share their memories and emotional experiences by building new sonic and visual worlds. Tai Haf Heb Trigolyn recently received a nomination for Welsh Album of the Year, and the two are busy touring with the band across Britain. Hedydd is exhibiting a new installation at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw working towards a group exhibition at Tŷ Pawb to 2027.

Mae 'mae yna le arall yma.' yn berfformiad a gosodiad sy'n edrych ar y daith freuddwydiol i ddychmygu'r gofod celfyddydol sy'n bodoli yng Nghastell Caernarfon. Gan ddefnyddio recordiadau o'r safle, pigion o gigs a darnau gwreiddiol o gerddoriaeth a geiriau mae'n adeiladu gofod i gadw a cofnodi y gofod yma. Mae'r perfformiad yn rhannu'r daith yma'n fyw, gan ail-berchnogi'r gofod mae Hedydd Ioan yn gyfarwydd ag ef drwy berfformio yna tra'n yr ysgol, ac efo clybiau drama tra'n blentyn, ond hefyd wrth wylio gigs yn y castell. I'r artist, wrth gerdded o amgylch y castell mae'n ofod celfyddydol yn ogystal ac un hanesyddol. Mae'r darn yn cwestiynu sut mae'r hanes, atgofion a diwylliant yma'n cael ei gofnodi a'i gofio.
Drwy'r perfformiad 15 munud mae'r artistaid yn defnyddio cymysgedd o pigion, perfformio'n fyw a geiriau i'n tywys ar daith i'r gofod arall sy'n bodoli, gan greu atgof a pherfformiad newydd yn y castell. Dros y ddeuddydd nesaf mae'r perfformiad yn cael ei ailadrodd yn y gofod, ond heb yr artistaid. Bob tro mae'r perfformiad yn ail-adrodd mae'r recordiad yn dirywio gan orffen y penwythnos gyda sain hollol aneglur nes bod yn ddim.
Mae'r darn yn gwahodd y gynulleidfa i fyfyrio ar ble yn y daith yna y maen nhw'n gweld y darn, a faint maen nhw'n ei adnabod a'i gofio, a pham fod hynny. Wrth deithio ar draws ofodau, breuddwydion a gofodau dychmygol, lle mae pŵer a chyfrifoldeb i ddogfennu diwylliannau yn eistedd?
There is another place here.
There is 'there is another place here.' is a performance and installation that looks at the dream journey to imagine the artistic space that exists in Caernarfon Castle. Using recordings from the site, samples from gigs and original pieces of music and lyrics he builds a space to preserve and record this space. The performance shares this journey live, re-owning the space that Hedydd Ioan is familiar with by performing there while at school, and with drama clubs as a child, but also when watching gigs in the castle. For the artist, walking around the castle is both an artistic space and a historical one. The piece questions how this history, memories and culture is recorded and remembered.
Throughout the 15 minute performance the artists use a mixture of samples, live performance and words to take us on a journey to the other space that exists, creating a memory and a new performance in the castle. Over the next two days the performance is repeated in the space, but without the artists. Every time the performance repeats the recording deteriorates ending the weekend with a completely unclear sound before fading to nothing.
The piece invites the audience to reflect on a place in the journey where they see the piece, and how much they recognize and remember it, and why that is. When traveling across spaces, dreams and imaginary spaces, where does the power and responsibility to document cultures sit?
